Patient-centricity is not a new term in the clinical trial setting. Given accessibility challenges highlighted further by the pandemic, acceleration of decentralized clinical trials, hybrid site visits and telemedicine-how far have we come putting the voice of the patient squarely in perspective to positively impact the participation rate of patients and lessen trial failure rates? Are there lessons to be learned from DTC and taking a greater consumer-like approach and experience design to improve recruitment, participation and retention?

In this 45 minute, moderated panel discussion with interactive audience participation via polling, Q and A; we aim to challenge current perspectives and highlight the potentials gains of bringing patient engagement upfront and center versus further downstream in traditional trial engagement models. We will be leveraging the latest research and insights from the 2021 CISCRP study on public and patient views of clinical research, successful clinical trial recruitment and educational campaign case studies and real world evidence from a strong patient advocate to explore.
