Mitzi Krockover, M.D., is an active healthcare professional with diverse roles across multiple organizations. She is the Founder and CEO of Woman Centered, LLC, a women’s health consultancy and producer of the Beyond the Paper Gown podcast focusing on women’s health empowerment. Additionally, she is a Partner at SSB Solutions in healthcare consulting and a Managing Director at Golden Seeds, an angel investment firm for women-led companies, where she co-chairs the Health Care Sector Group and co-leads the Arizona Chapter.
Dr. Krockover’s professional passion is women’s health. She served as the inaugural Medical Director of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Center, a Department of Health and Human Services recognized Center of Excellence. Subsequently, she took the position of Vice President of Women’s Health at Humana Inc., overseeing strategies and advocacy for women’s health issues.
Her current focus is influencing and supporting women’s health innovation. In addition to her work at Golden Seeds, her involvement extends to organizations such as the Forum of the Women’s Health Innovation Economic Forum, supported by the Gates Foundation and the NIH, and the Women’s Health Innovation Council of Springboard, which supports growth in women-led health companies.
Dr. Krockover also holds governance roles in various organizations, including the Institute for Mental Health Research and the Black Women’s Health Imperative. She is a member of the National Council of the Institute for Public Health at Washington University and the Washington University Phoenix Cabinet.
Her educational credentials include an AB in Arts and Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by an internal medicine residency at Northwestern University.
