Join Xpectives.Health CEO Scott Ehrlich as he speaks with former President Trump’s FDA Commissioner as to the changes he tried to implement when he was at FDA, where he see pricing reform going to as drug prices rise, what impact the 2024 elections could have on DTC Marketing, access to drugs and health technologies, and where he sees opportunities for optimization in the healthcare system to make it more cost effective and patient friendly. Dr. Gottlieb will share his thoughts on where healthcare is headed and what effect that will have for health marketers and communicators.

Dr. Gottlieb is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where his work focuses on enhancing public health through innovative and entrepreneurial approaches. His extensive experience includes serving as a special partner at New Enterprise Associates and holding board positions at renowned organizations like Pfizer and Illumina.

During his impactful tenure at the FDA, Dr. Gottlieb was instrumental in shaping policies on critical issues ranging from drug pricing to medical product innovation. He championed the efficient regulatory process for novel drugs and medical devices, leading to groundbreaking approvals including the first gene-therapy-based cancer treatment. Under his leadership, the FDA saw record approvals for novel and generic drugs, showcasing his commitment to advancing medical innovation and patient care.

Dr. Gottlieb’s expertise extends beyond his administrative roles, having served in academic and clinical capacities at the New York University School of Medicine and as a practicing physician. A respected voice in healthcare policy, his insights have been featured in top media outlets and he regularly contributes to CNBC, his interviews range from Face The Nation, CBS News to Fox News, and his commentary and articles have appeared in Health Affairs, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, among other outlets.
